isopure clear "fruit" flavored protien drinks

Recommended Posts

I really thought this would be a nice change from the milky creamy protien flavors I have here ...BOY WAS I WRONG! It stinks and has the worst bad cheese flavor and aftertaste.huge waste of money..p.s. they were not cheap..

Try diluting them with Water or putting them in the blender with some davinci or Torani sugar free Syrup and ice. I put the blue raspberry flavor in my Magic Bullet cup with a few squirts of Mio berry and ice....turned out well.

I tried putting a packet of raspberry lemonade crystal light in it and it was like I hadn't even put it in...blehh..do u know if that's how the "unflavored" Protein Powder tastes?

I tried Isopure unflavored Protein powder....it made everything taste terrible to me and it smelled like sour milk. Wasted my money.

I suppose every person is different. I've gotten used to the taste of the Isopure (not the Coconut flavor though..bleh). I can drink them straight or mix them up with crystal light or Mio and still love them. The plain Protein powders don't bother me either. It's actually made the ingestion of my protein much easier. But again to each his own. You won't know until you try. Someone recommended the ABB banana Creme Protein Drink because it has 50g of protein and fewer calories but I couldn't stomach it...even in the blender with half of a real banana and Torani Syrup. Just Gross...lol

Anyway good luck.

ICE. Pour over ice. I had a few before I bought a ton and they were ok so I bought more. MAN are my senses out of wack because the DO smell rotten sometimes. I found pouring them over ice made big difference for me. I think it diluted it a bit and got me out of the mindset.

I had to give away all the expensive Protein shots I bought. They were the WORST.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
