We have a local deals and steals website on Facebook where I sell mine. If they don't sell on there then I take them to consignment but I don't get much that way.

I am sending mine to a thirift store in New Orleans which is run by and benefits VRC (aka Pit Bulls and Parolees). They were too nice to just donate to Goodwill, and at least this way the money will benefit their organization and the doggies :)

At the time I donated I was on lapbandtalk.com (revision) and gave mine to people who needed them on there. Sent 3 big boxes to 3 different people just for shipping prices. And my sister in law made out like a bandit. Lots of J Jill, Eddie Bauer, and Old Navy stuff with tags still on em.

U might want to try the clthing exchange on this site. Good luck

It's hard when the clothes are nice, but I donate them anyway.

My doctor's office offers a support group and once a month you can bring clothes that don't fit and then someone there is bound to have your size. Saves money for everyone, and it's fun to do. Also, then you get to see that they go to "a nice home" so to speak. lol.

You might want to suggest this to your doctor if they have support groups, or if they wouldn't mind keeping the office open late one day a month for a clothing exchange.

I am just starting my journey and will have surgery in March or April. I can't wait until I can ask this question! I will be donating them to shelters so that they can be of good use to someone.

I totally forgot about this website called Twice.

They only take higher end clothing (there's a list) and you mail in your clothes and they give you a quote and you can sell it to them or they will send it back. Then you can also buy used clothes from them.

www.liketwice.com

(if you feel like it, my referral link will give us both store credit but that's NOT why I posted about it, so I hope no one minds: liketwice.com/SN5s0)

The one good thing about years of yo-yo dieting is that I own clothes in every size from 14-22!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
