Congrats on your 40 pounds!

I'm right at the 40 pound mark as well...I notice a big difference in my tops - all my tops are baggy and I need to get some new ones. I can still wear the same jeans I wore pre-op, although they are a lot baggier and I don't have to lie down on the bed to get them zipped up.

I've lost 45lbs and still wearing same clothes. My shirts are fitting better (use to stretch out Tshirts before putting on and today I didn't have to) I have a lot more to go before needing new size I think.

About 40 pounds and I'm one size down in most pants. Not all. Can also wear smaller tops.

Like you guys I can still wear my pre-surgery jeans although they are baggy. They must have really been screaming before, LOL.

I'm 1 month out and was starting to get pretty sick of Protein shakes too. Have you tried Ready to drink shakes like Premier. I found a target brand that has 20g of protein and is kind of tasty. Also, I have mixed a half scoop of chocolate Protein Powder with a sugar free pudding cup and a touch of milk and topped it with fat free whipped cream. That was pretty yummy. I have also mixed a half scoop of unflavored protein powder in 32oz of sugar free Hawaiian punch. Protein and Water for the price of one. Lastly, I have made protein shakes with other ingredients besides the whey protein powder such as cottage cheese, egg whites and puréed pumpkin and other stuff. It tasted like a pumpkin spice smoothie. Just go online and look for Protein Shake recipes. If you have an ice cream maker, you can even make protein ice cream (check out theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com). The possibilities are endless. Just make sure you get that protein in and check with your Nut.

I like the pudding cup idea! BTW, Cool Whip also has a sugar-free version. :)

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
