AngelaMarzuoli 1 Posted December 24, 2013 I'm 7 days post op today and all I want to do is eat. I'm eighteen years old and I have an older brother who can eat whatever he wants and my parents who eat whatever they want. They're really supportive but everytime they sit down for a meal and I'm stuck having a pudding cup it makes me so frustrated. I'm trying really hard not to be miserable but I so am. Any tips? I just joined. 1 dreamscometrue reacted to this
magtart 603 Posted December 24, 2013 Are you getting enough Protein in and taking a PPI? Sometimes an acid stomach can feel like hunger. I am also seven days out and having a Premier Protein Drink for both Breakfast and lunch and maybe 1/4 C. of cream Soup made with double milk. I'm lucky if I can finish half a pudding cup for a late snack after all of that. I haven't felt any real hunger but I am anxiously awaiting next week when I can have mushy food. Good luck! AngelaMarzuoli 1 Posted December 24, 2013 I don't know if it's hunger it's just I used to eat all the time. And it's hard when I can't.
Jenny12 361 Posted December 25, 2013 Been there! I remember those days. I was soooo hungry, so I know how you feel. Just hang tight - it will get better. You'll be eating pretty soon and you'll be so proud of yourself for sticking to your plan during this tough time. 1 dreamscometrue reacted to this
Snufflegus 80 Posted December 25, 2013 Just think about where you are headed! Not in a negative way but have a conversation with your family about how you feel. I used Greek yogurt in vanilla or plain to make ne feel somewhat normal plus a few bites would full me up and it's pretty high in Protein on its own. I would mix Protein powder and sugar free pudding into it for something sweet and would take warm plain Greek yogurt and mix it with chicken seasoning or chicken unjury to make make a "cream of chicken" Soup. Just be creative! I'm 7 months out and remember well the struggles but do know it gets better and before long you can begin eating lots of things!
