March Sleevers in Tijuana!

Recommended Posts

No, but I will probably be driving in from Arizona. it's a 5 hour drive. If I leave at 6am I should be there around 11-12ish. There is a possibility that I may fly if my daughter can't come with me. I have to look up flight times. What time will you be arriving? Are you coming alone?

Yes I am coming alone I will possibly set my flight for arrival after 3 in San Diego on the 6th of March.

ok so I guess I will see you there! Keep in touch maybe we can be sleeve buddies! I can pm you my phone number and email address!

Hi everyone! Question about pre op diet. I am scheduled March 3rd with dr Lopez through Mexico Bariatric. From the info I was given it says a 3 day liquid diet prior to surgery but I'm seeing some people say they are starting a 21 day liquid diet? I'm worried now as I have less than 2 weeks till my surgery. I've started eating a very lean high Protein diet but not liquid only. Can someone offer clarification?

Not to worry, MissCK, each surgeon's instructions are different. Follow your instructions but you could also contact his coordinator just to ease your mind

I'm March 10 with almanza and looking for sleeve buddies. Super excited, less than 20 days until surgery and a start of a new lifestyle.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
