skinny_minnie_wannabe 30 Posted December 24, 2013 Welp, got the news today. My case was denied because a lack of documentation of at least 2 comorbidities and proof of exhaustive measures. My BMI started out at 38.5. I have asthma, high cholesterol, depression, anxiety, and GERD. I'm preparing for an appeal. I'm not giving up! I have come way too far. Has anyone else been through a similar situation? Your stories would provide me encouragement. 1 ForeverFat? reacted to this
DebbieRenee 16 Posted December 25, 2013 Hello Skinny Minnie, Most insurance companies require... *BMI of at least 40 *Have tried a lot of different types of programs - ie, Weight Watchers, Slim Fast, Jenny Craig, Nutra System and so on,,,,but keep PUSHING BACK...you have a lot of other qualifications..asthma, high cholesterol, depression, anxiety, and GERD. Did they do a sleep study for you? I would definitely appeal. And if you've tried anything any other diet method tell them no matter how silly. I told my Dr I even tried the Cabbage Soup diet.... Hang in there!!
