My v-day goal is to be under 200lbs.

Last week: 207 lbs

This week: 203 lbs

This week was really hard because a lot more people are commenting on my weight loss than ever before, but I have some body dysmorphia going on, because when i look in the mirror, i don't look slimmer. i almost wish I could cover myself in big clothes so people won't comment. I can feel their eyes on me when i walk into a room at work, especially people who work in different parts of the bldg and don't see me everyday. At first i thought it was all in my head, but people keep pulling me aside wanting to know what i'm doing and examining my body.

Just when I thought I was back on the losing track, I have stayed the same again this week....233! I know it is much better to stay the same than to gain, but I am playing by the rules. No one ever said this would be easy, so I will trudge onward! Next week WILL be better.

I'm right there with ya chicka! No loss but thank gawd no gain!! :) Next week WILL be better you'll see or we'll see :)

Hello,

12-31-13 164 lbs

01-03-14 163 lbs

01-10-14 162 lbs

01-17-14 160 lbs

01-24-14 160 lbs

01-31-14 156 lbs

By the end of January I would like to get out of the 160's and get in the 150's.

Valentine's Day - I would like to be at least155, but hoping to be in the 140's by the end of February.

Yesterday was my 6 month anniversary. I am very happy. I lost a total of 76 lbs and 74 inches off my whole entire body from neck, chest, belly, hips, leg, and arm. Yay!!!

I hope everyone is doing well on their weight loss! Take Care.

Sophiepants, I noticed that we were sleeved around the same time and have the similar weight losses. I was wondering what you're up to these days in terms of eating patterns/habits and exercise routine. I've been pretty steady (stair-steppy but steady) but I'm definitely slowing down. It's like that elongating hallway, I'm just so close but not quite there.

I'm doing really well with cardio (treadmill 75 minutes/day). I'm not as good about keeping up with my arm weights and I rarely do the other things on my "To Do" list--tricep dips and core exercises. I'm doing ok on eating. I'm not able to get 700 calories but I have managed to cut out sugar, grains and wheat. I've had a forkful of quinoa but mostly all my carbs come from vegetables.

With St. Paddy's day falling on March 17 and Easter falling in April 20 this year, I think those would be REALLY good ideas (good windows of time) for the next two challenges. Great idea!

Yay thanks for all u do- I envy your organization !

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
