amanda4166 16 Posted December 22, 2013 I am 6 days post op. The first several days I was not hungry at all, however the past couple of days I have been hungry. I don't know if it's in my head or what, but it scares me. I don't think it helps that the past 2 days I have gone to huge Christmas party/feasts, but I'm so paranoid that I will still be hungry after this sleeve! Is this normal? 1 QueenCityGal reacted to this

Maybe some thirst or stomach acid. Are you on a PPI like nexium? Acid can feel like hunger. Also possible that you still have excess grehlin in your blood stream. Or that you are hungry. But the last one is doubtful, this early out.

I also just made a post about this last night. I'm 5 days out, yesterday I was SOOO hungry. It's weird because I have no desire to eat, yet I have that severe empty "I gotta have some food in me" feeling because I AM so empty inside. Leftover grehlin? Who knows... but we have not had any solid food in ourselves for weeks now (well me at least) and after trying to survive on an average of 600 cals a day I'm sure our bodies truly ARE hungry. It's a shock to the system no doubt. Most likely once we progress our food stages it will go away. I hope. 1 honeylove reacted to this
Numenow 32 Posted December 22, 2013 It's ok to feel hungry. I did too! Just remember to have only what you are allowed to eat, your sleeve will do the rest! Numenow

I too feel hungry (I'm 10 days post op) but I don't think its hunger rather than the acid or something. Every time I feel hungry I eat Jello.
