New Sleeve not tolerating artificial sweeteners....

Recommended Posts

So I was sleeved Thursday, and since then I haven't been able to tolerate liquids or Jello that have artificial sweeteners in them, regardless of temperature.

Is this normal? Will it pass?

I've had the same issues so I've had to alter my Protein. I've been using Unjury unflavored protein and adding it to Soup. Just make sure to keep temp under 140 or it will clump like eggs.< /p>

Yes, I could not tolerate simple sugars. I actually may have reactive hypoglycemia from premier Protein shakes and almost all sugar in the beginning similar to a Diabetic who sugar drops. i still get it but not as bad. i get light headed and sweaty after certain sugars. however i can tolerate artificial sugar but cutting back. i needed to cut back anyway.

But yes it get better.

I hope your feeling better I got my surgery on dec 19th too. I haven't been able to tolerate Jello to well either gives me an upset stomach. Just been drinking Water with a little crystal light and Popsicles. Still have pain with the incision stomach was taken out. Still have to take medicine to be able to walk comfortably. Maybe I'm resting to much and should be walking more. How is walking and your pain tolerance? Third day post op. last day on clear fluids diet.
