When I sit down to eat 6 oz of dense Protein I get a full feeling after about 3 or 4 bites. I'll stop for a few minutes and have another bite or two and I'm full again this will continue for 35 to 45 minutes. Is this to long? How long does it take you to eat?

I'm not sure when this happened but, I seem to have stopped chewing my food to a mush before I swallow. So I tried chewing it to mush again, It doesn't seem to make a difference in how long it takes to eat but I do seem to get hungry sooner when I chew my food more.

Any thoughts, I'm 9 months out and down about 106 lb cw 199 lb on my way to 180.

My doctor's office said to have no meal last more than 30 minutes. If it takes longer than that, your body can start processing the food and this could lead to grazing and taking in more calories. They said it should take 15 to 20 minutes to eat 1/2 cup of food and no longer than 30 minutes. This is when you are 6 or more weeks out.

Joe

I'm a "sleevie" myself ;)

all us (lapband et al) have the common bond of having to eat slowly and chew

thoroughly

Yes, i do think you are taking too long too eat

my NUT also told me to eat my meals within 30 minutes

eat as your tummy allows, take breaks, but be done within that time period, or so

talk to your NUT about your eating thoughts/situation - he/she should be able to advice you :)

terrific on your weight loss :)

i was opening the door to the century club, and you "sneaked" through!!!! :)

keep up the great job (i know you will :) )

good luck

kathy

congrats
