ShirleyJ84 41 Posted December 21, 2013 So the family is taking a vacation for the holidays. While packing I discovered I have twice as many bags as everyone else due to the size of my clothing. Ugh, I can't wait until February to have this surgery. I'm not doing it just for the smaller clothing size but also for my health. Maybe next year I won't have as much baggage.... 1 Cupcake reacted to this
terry1118 1,274 Posted December 22, 2013 Next year you may only need a teeny bikini, a skimpy little dress, some shorts, a tank top or two, and some strappy sandals. It'll all fit in your carry on! But bring a big bag anyway to hold all the cute things you buy while away. :-) 2 Cupcake and *Misty*Raine* reacted to this

alex76 184 Posted December 29, 2013 I have thought like this pretty consistently- there are just so many things I'm looking forward to after surgery. It will be here before we know it! 1 *Misty*Raine* reacted to this
TurnThePage 220 Posted December 29, 2013 The amount of clothing baggage you'll shed over the coming year won't come close to the emotional baggage you'll be throwing overboard! 3 *Misty*Raine*, pquinn181 and hmjdreamingbig reacted to this
*Misty*Raine* 192 Posted January 1, 2014 Tho I am just beginning my journey... I still read the boards pretty much non-stop. I'm always seeking information. I have read a lot of your stories and I gotta say... I just hope I am half as determined as y'all are. I know I want this, need this, and WILL do this. I just hope that waiting the 9 mos my insurance is requiring doesn't discourage me. I really have to do this to live to see my kids all grow up. I don't think it's fair I leave my 3 year old (or any of them for that matter) wondering why I didn't love them enough to take my own life back. And I am! Very slowly.... Thru this very slow process. Here's to being able to breathe again with ease one day!
ShirleyJ84 41 Posted January 3, 2014 I just got back from a cruise. The amount of clothing I had actually wasn't that bad. It was the fact that compared to my daughter's clothes they looked so much bigger. IT SUCKED! I am almost done with the 6 month diet (last appointment is on the 15th). Hopefully, everything will go quickly and I can get this over with. I am planning another vacation with my family later this year and I am hoping to not have to pack as much. Or if I pack a lot it will be a lot more cute clothes in smaller sizes.
*Misty*Raine* 192 Posted January 3, 2014 I totally relate to this! I'm 2 times the size of my daughters and it is frustrating to have to pack a suitcase and I can't get half the crap in it that they can. I totally understand that frustration! But like you... I'm hoping I can get lots of weight off and buy tons of new stuff with lots of sparkle! Lo
