No pain or nausea here. Just a bit of weakness.

Like HazelEyes, I know walking has helped me immensely.

MJM, oatmeal is on my list, but it must be thin. Thin Mashed potatoes are on it, too, along with the other stuff like applesauce, strained creamed Soups, etc.

It's amazing how 1 & 1/2 oz. of food fills me up! Do any of you have a new aversion to sugar? The idea of biting into a piece of candy is sickening.

So far, I'm loving my sleeve!

Cutie Miss- I went through this on my 2 week preop diet. You are not physically hungry, you are head hungry. When this happened to me I just decided to ignore my brain. Your brain is a food addict and it is despartaly trying to get you to feed the addiction. Beat it, don't give in. I honestly think my 2 week preop diet had little to do with shinking my liver and a whole lot to do with me breaking up with food.

Hi! I'm so excited to find all you fellow January 13thers lol

I went from the band to the sleeve on Monday. Very happy to no longer have the band. I had been having trouble for yrs with it. It turns out that I had scar tissue on my liver and stomach from the band which was causing me all of my problems.

Spent 2 night in the hospital. Yesterday I could hardly keep my eyes open. Today I'm more awake and trying to get the Protein and fluids in. I'm even diluting prune juice!!

Incision pain has had its moments of being terrible on and off. But I actually woke up this morning sleeping on my tummy which felt so good and was surprising.

I'm on full liquids for 2 weeks except I take some of my meds with applesauce which is so refreshing!

Are you all still sleeping a lot? I slept a lot less today but still had quite a few naps. Naps are a wonderful thing.

Looking forward to joining the bm club lol.

Feel good and sleep well tonight.

Having a problem with diahrrea. Called the nutritionist yesterday and she told me to switch from the whey Protein Drinks to EAS which is soy based. Had one last night with no problems, but had one this morning and I'm back with the trotzkies. If this continues I'll call my doctor's cell phone. I don't want dehydration.

One good thing about my doctor. You don't have to go through an answering service to get him. He gives his personal cell number and that of his wife who is his nurse.

Hey cutie miss are you sure your not getting nausia from that antibiotic? I get very sick when I take them on anything less than a full stomach. Also I took one yesterday at the airport with lunch but lunch was a thin broth from the Chinese resturant. In about 20 min I was puking my guts out sick. Try taking them after a full Protein Shake. Also if a dr can call you in some finegrin don't know if that's spelled right but pronounced fin e grin it will take away the Nausia

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
