Full Liquid Stage

Recommended Posts

Sooooo...I have been putting cream of chicken and cream of mushroom in the blender and eating them everyday during my Full liquid Stage. I was told that I could have anything that fits through a straw (but don't use a straw). I was just reading about people straining Soup but not blending it. Did I mistakenly miss a stage :( ???

I have been on Clear liquids since Thursday afternoon of last week. I'm so glad I bought some Isopure clear Protein drinks in the 8 oz. size because after the first few days I felt weak as if the broth and Jello weren't enough. After I drank the Isopure drink on Monday with the 15 grams of protein---I felt a lot better. I haven't had a trip to the bathroom yet---I hope the higher Protein content doesn't constipate me. broth only has a few grams of protein. I've been getting my 64 oz's of Water so I hope I'll be OK.

I never thought I'd so look forward to cottage cheese and protein shakes!!!!! But man do I. I can mix some of my Protein powder with my fat free cottage cheese and my fat free, low sugar/carb yogurt. SO GLAD I bought some sample packs with all these kind of fruit flavors in the Protein Powder. They should taste good with the cottage cheese and yogurt.

@Healthbound. Thanks for the idea. I have a blender and blendstick. I may try blending down a thicker Soup.< /p>

@Kat. I'll be sleeved early next week and am checking out clear Protein drinks. How much Isopure are you able to drink in a day?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
