So I have had a really bad year. House related: new Water tank , new dryer, new fridge, new stove. But hey I can use the oven now.

My daughter totaled her car. My husband had someone slam into the back end of his truck while pulling out of parking lot. I rear ended a lady who just stopped because across that was closed was open and she wanted to go that way. So I hit right into her.

So when it was time for my Lapband I can promise you I was scared to death.

So that went well and am on 8 weeks and lost 45 pounds.

I now have pain in my arm and shoulder with numb fingers. So MRI showed bulging disc c7/8 Doc wants me to c a surgeon for his opinion. He says to be comfortable with the surgeon do if I need him I need to make sure I like him. Good advice I think.

He put me on neurotin, ultran, and flexeeul.

Now I get to go they this. I am going back to Lapband PA for a fill -2nd one- but she told me she will never do 2 fills in a row. Might have to give her a neck punch. Hahaha. Jk.

I am hungry about 3 hours after eating. I have 2ccs in my band. Ok vets/----should I be getting a second fill?

it sounds like it to me. i don't understand the part about 2 fills in a row. everytime i see my doctor we discuss whether a fill is needed or not. the whole idea is to have the band filled until you feel satiated between meals. and it takes less food to fill that requirement.

3 hours after eating is about right. You have lost very good, but if YOU feel that it is time for a fill, maybe it is! My own surgeon knows me well enough to know that I can't do more than the fill have already. When did you have your last fill? I had to wait at least 1 month between them until I was happy and my weightloss was acceptable. If I had lost about 5 lbs in a month, I was not allowed a fill. Best wishes, you need a hug, too((((hug)))). Karen...aka..kll724

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
