Tonight I was at my daughter school Christmas play, and all these moms had on tall boots, leggings and these precious long sweaters... and they looked perfectly put together... Next year... I wanna have legs that look good in leggings and boots!

Before my operation I went into Macy's and talked to all the suits that were too small for me, which was all of them. I told them, "I'll be back!"

A year later I came back and bought 2 of them. One of them is displayed on my "after" picture on my profile.

You can do it!!!!!

I have longed to wear a dress to Christmas parties. Something short and festive!

I know that for the first time in too long to remember I bought a shortish dress for New Year's Eve and tights. I could never manage myself 75 pounds ago squeezing my legs into pantyhose or tights and feel so uncomfortable all night. This year I am so looking forward to wearing them and heels. Love my clingy sweater dress too. You will be there too before you know it.

I just want to be able to walk into an Old Navy and be able to shop. I want to be in regular clothes and not be limited to online shopping and specialty plus size stores.

Next year, I want to wear leggings, cute boots and a dress above my knees. I can still wear that at 48, right?

AMEN!!!

My hope is to be able to wear something that didn't come from Lane Bryant!

Lane Bryant has always been a reliable staple, and I cannot wait to never step foot in that store again!!!! ;-)

There's a website called ModCloth that makes really cute, retro clothes. They have a plus size section, but I don't feel comfortable enough in my body right now to wear many of the items.

I want to be able to order a regular sized, cute, holiday dress from ModCloth that comes slightly above the knee, with cute, patterned pantyhose and cute shoes, not the ugly orthodic ones I've been forced to wear due to foot and knee pain.

For casual holiday get togethers, I look forward to wearing skinny jeans with a tunic that hugs my curves (not rolls mind you, but CURVES)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
