Greenize42 62 Posted December 18, 2013 I. Finally had a small bm today. I just have gas every time I eat. My pain comes from my right side instead of my left which I think is strange! I am one week post op tomorrow ! Going to get me some gas x strip in the am see how that works! I only have a pouch left due to other issues but I sis have at sleep elevated at first everything felt smushed
Getting-used-to-new-me 119 Posted December 18, 2013 That sounds very familiar. I've only had two bms since surgery on the 10th. MOM helped me with one yesterday. I too have pain on my right side, lower down. I also have bruising on that area. I'll ask about it at my two week followup on the 27th if not sooner. Everyday it gets a little better. But I still have the same pains I described earlier. The good news is that I've lost 24 pounds since surgery on the 10th! And I'm still averaging about a two pound per day loss. The ketosis keeps me sleepy. But I still hit the treadmill everyday and go outside at least a short time each day.

Getting-used-to-new-me 119 Posted December 18, 2013 I need to explain. I'm up to 7 minutes on my treadmill at 2 miles per hour. I'm trying to add a minute each day. One day I'll increase the mph. When I get out I have to have someone with me and I'm out of energy pretty quickly. With this fat burning ketosis I could sleep all day everyday. But that would slow my recovery I believe. I'm never hungry. But I'm staying up with Water and liquid meals. Let me know about your doctor visit. Mine isn't scheduled until the 27th.
Greenize42 62 Posted December 18, 2013 I.thought perhaps I was falling behind on what I should be doing! I am not sure how old you are but I am 47 so I give myself a little leeway! Lol. I will let you know how my dr visit goes!

Greenize42 62 Posted December 19, 2013 I will keep you posted! Are u taking any meds at all?
Getting-used-to-new-me 119 Posted December 19, 2013 Yes I'm taking bp, cholesterol, and blood thinner meds. I'm taking the chewable multi and chewable Calcium too. My surgeon and his ARNP say I should be off all meds after a while. How about you?
Greenize42 62 Posted December 19, 2013 I was on bp, cholesterol, five shots of insulin a day! I have not taken any meds since hospital! My bp was lower than normal while in hospital and my sugars are good! Highest has been 134 but that was after I took shower and in pain! 1 naenaern777 reacted to this
Getting-used-to-new-me 119 Posted December 19, 2013 My bp was low in the hospital too. I'm hoping they say I can quit all meds when I see them on the 27th. I'm concerned a little that my tiredness is partly due to the bp med.
Greenize42 62 Posted December 19, 2013 It may be too low! You better be careful with that do you have a blood pressure machine at home?
redstacey 33 Posted December 19, 2013 Hello all. I am a December gastric bypass post op. I originally had the gastric sleeve surgery on September 2nd 2013. I was having horrible acid reflux that was resulting to me aspirating gastric acid almost every night. So, I just had a revision surgery to the gastric bypass on December 10th 2013. 1 LindafromFlorida reacted to this
