Tonight is my first meal. I made 1/2 egg with a 1/8 slice of cheese. It took me a half of an hour to take 2 tiny bites (with a baby fork), chew it to mush and swallow. Now I feel queasy. Is that what full feels like? My paperwork says a portion should be around 1/4 of a cup. I managed less than a tablespoon. Anyone else experience this?

I was still on liquids at that point, so I would suggest not pushing it. I couldn't eat a whole egg til about 5-6 weeks

Some people have problems with eggs in the beginning. I know when I add cheese to my eggs it seems to make them more filling.

You will be able to eat more further out. In the beginning, when you try a food if it doesn't agree with you, wait a week or so and try it again. Sometimes your stomach is not ready for it even though your diet sheets say you can have it. You may also have internal swelling from the surgery.

You will be able to take in a larger amount soon.

Good luck.

I'm day 17 had a scrambled egg w/ cheese today and lost it! Went back to shake. Bought some Bob Evans mashed potatoes going to try a small amount later ? First time I've been sick with my sleeve.

There's a recipe for egg custard on bariatriceating that I've been making weekly. It's delish and I can eat it unlike scrambled eggs still.

eggs were one of the hardest things for Frankensleeve to digest. At the 2 month mark, I was still only eating about 4oz. total for the day. Just be sure and stay hydrated.

Keep Pimpin' that Sleeve!

I would say you should still be on liquids based on everything I know and read, at 2 weeks. Don't rush it please. Bad results when you try things too soon.. Best wishes!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
