So I went to get another fill today making me have 6cc in my band. Every time after the doctor do it I take a sip of Water making sure the water go down and it did. But now a few hrs later when I drink water I end up spitting it up about 30minutes later . I'm mad I can't even keep FUCKING water down :( So I might go back tomorrow and see if they can take 0.5cc out :(

You have to remember you get swelling after a fill. The more upset you are the tighter your band is going to get. Relax, take a nice hot shower and wait and see how you feel tomorrow.

Most fills the dr wants you doing soft food and liquids for the first day. Wouldn't have any removed until you see if it's just the swelling. 6cc is not a lot.

Your period will affect the band too. Fluids... Swelling etc. I never had a fill when my period was due. Try hot tea no milk.... Seemed to relax the band. As the day goes on it seems to relax a bit. Just go with the flow.... You will become accustomed and lose weight ????

Yes, a fill can leave you swollen inside but it shouldn't get you to a point where you can't keep liquids down. I had an aggressive fill two months ago and when I tried to drink coffee (because warm liquids relax the band) about two hours later, something went horribly wrong! Later that night I checked myself in the ER and demanded they take all the saline out. It sounds to me like you're too tight.

Do NOT keep this fill. Most people have some swelling after a fill, but not to the point of not keeping liquids down. Even if the swelling subside, you will still be too tight. If I were you, I'd go right back and get about .1 to .25 cc removed this way you can keep the rest of your saline.

If you wait, it will cause MORE irritation and vomiting to the the point where you will not be able to eat anything or drink and when you finally go back after being too tight too long your surgeon will have to remove MOST of the saline from your band and you don't want that.

Also you will prevent damage done to your band if you go back NOW.

Good luck

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
