ste_fun_ny 66 Posted December 17, 2013 My surgery was April 8 of this year I'm am down 139 I've worked out religiously since then but the last month has been extremely hectic and I have been to the gym only a handfull of times but I started back on my daily workouts which normally start off with about 45-60 minutes of cardio. But I've have been so soar I can't seem to kick this soarness I'm not sure what is going on but I've always been a very active person. I weighed 220 poundsb in high school and could run a mile in 5minutes so running is nothing new but I'm not sure if this is something new or if I should be concerned. When I first started working out of course I was soar but eventually it went away. Today my weight is 203 so I weigh less then I did my senior year but again I'm struggling to kick this soarness I'm not sure if this is old age what

CBT 450 Posted December 25, 2013 My hips get sore when my I.T. Bands get tight. They're hard to stretch. So, I foam roll. No lie, it'll make you sweat bullets until the fibers break up and it's totally worth it. You Tube search foam rolling good luck!
2Big2Skate 328 Posted January 21, 2014 Yea IT bands hurt here too. I lay on a tennis ball and wiggle around on it on my side. But I first got a lot of manual work done by a physical therapist. If you have persistent pain, I highly recommend getting an evaluation and treatment from a good PT. Theyll teach you how to self manage your individual pain.
