Please tell me what you eat?

Recommended Posts

Could anyone who is about 2 - 3 months out tell me what they eat in a day?

I'm not looking for recipes but volume really so is it something like:

Breakfast: 1 egg

Lunch: Half cup chopped chicken (or other protein)

Dinner: Chicken and vegetable casserole/stir-fry etc

Do you snack in between, it so on what?

It would just be really helful for me to know what eating each day looks like with a fully functioning gastric by-pass/restricted pouch.

As previously posted, I have no restriction and I need to see how it should be.

Thank you if you have time. L x

Here's a sample:

Breakfast: 1 hardboiled egg and a couple strawberries/or a 1/3 cup oatmeal with Protein drink mixed in (which ends up making it more like 1/2 cup in volume)/or a Protein shake

Snack: 1/3 cup low fat cottage cheese/or rest of Protein Shake from Breakfast

Lunch: 1/3 cup tuna salad with 4-5 whole grain crackers, or leftover from dinner the night before but still only about 1/3 to 1/2 cup

Snack: 2oz low fat cheese/ or 1/4 cup nuts and a little dried fruit like apricots or raisins/or the rest of lunch if I couldn't finish it like when I get takeaway

Dinner: 3oz meat and a little veggies like 1-2Tb worth.

Snack: a glass of low fat milk, or some roasted sunflower/pumpkin seeds if I need something crunchy

This usually puts me between 800-1000 calories, 50-80 carbs, and 70-80 Protein. I eat every couple hours and in between I drink 16-24oz of Water.

I'm Protein intolerant so it's more difficult for me. I did have some chicken yesterday that stayed down so that's a plus.

I bought a set of stainless steel measuring cups in Matalan ... The set consisted of 1 cup, 1/2 cup, 1/4 cup and 1/3 cup. They are invaluable.

I believe you can buy them in Kirklands.

Good luck

Breakfast: 2 oz.low fat string cheese.. Or 2 eggs. 4 oz. Yogurt

Lunch: 3 to 4 oz Protein...1/4 c. Veggies

Dinner: 3 to 4 oz. Protein, 1/4 c veggies...1 to 2 oz carbs, if I have room

Snack: I usually measure 1/2 c. Nuts to eat throughout the day

I also drink 2 Protein shakes as snack

64 to 80 oz Water or crystal light

The only carbs I eat are complex carbs like quinoa, sweet potatoes, etc.

I can't eat more than 1 to 1 1/2 at a time unless it's a slider food like yogurt or Soup., so I still supplement with protein in crystal light or Vitamin Water to make sure I get enough protein.

I get 800 to 900 calories a day, plus another 200 to 300 from protein supplements.

Per my dr and nutritionist, I don't eat sugar at all.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
