gramma-O 2 Posted December 16, 2013 I have been having pain in my right side of my neck, right shoulder, right arm all the way down to the right side of my right hand. Also, the location of the port has lots of scar tissue, so much so, that when I lay face down (my sleeping preference), that spot hurts. I have to adjust myself in weird positions so as not to aggravate the port and scar tissue. Does anyone else have these problems. If yes, what can one do to alleviate this? gramma-O 2 Posted December 16, 2013 Thanks, B. I have not had insurance for the last 3 years! I just began working and my insurance kicks in next month (finally). So, I have just a couple of weeks to go. When all this first began (and after I lost my job and insurance), the bariatric facility from whom I received my surgery, refused to work with me unless I paid out-of-pocket expenses (and without a job, I couldn't do that). So, I'll be looking elsewhere for answers. Thanks! O
lisacaron 5,075 Posted December 16, 2013 gramma, what you are describing could be many things from a heart attack and/or stroke, to carpal tunnel to a pinched nerve to having just slept in a bad position too often. Bandista is right about checking it out. If your coverage doesn't kick in for a few months perhaps you might go to the local hospital and have them check you out. They can't refuse you treatment. What's going other then the port site difficulty doesn't sound like it's band related. If your still in pain or not feeling well a visit to the doctor sooner then later is imperative. Please let us know how your doing.
