mokee 588 Posted December 16, 2013 It has been weeks and finally another lb gone. It is so slow because I eat everything now. Those just starting, stay on plan till you reach your goal. I teetered off at about 6 months and now I eat too many carbs. It definetly is showing in my weight loss. After Xmas I am going back on plan again. Just so thankful that my restriction is still there. Still can only eat very small amounts of food at a time. That is really a God send for me. So thankful for this surgery. I realize now why I was led by God to this surgery. My husband has lung cancer and will be starting radiation and chemo this week. I am able to get around better and do so many things now so I will be able to care for him over the next 3 months. It would have been nearly impossible to take good care of him at my previous weight and health. 3 gamergirl, skikyd and meamo reacted to this
marfar7 1,533 Posted December 17, 2013 I know exactly what u mean by the carbs slowing weightloss. I eat EVERYTHING just in really small quantities and it's showing on the scale. I made a decision before Thanksgiving that I would maintain until after the holidays then I'll tackle the last 18 lbs I have left Hubbys planning on going on Atkins Induction again in Jan (he lost 80 lbs with Atkins years ago). While I'm NOT going on Atkins, I will however be cutting back on my sweets, breads, and pastas. And stop the nighttime snacking. I hafta ban all food from my bedroom. Thats where I do all my nighttime snacking - while lying in bed watching tv. I've been known to save 1/2 my daily calories for after dinner so I can snack. That plan backfired! Good luck to u. Thank God for my sleeve. Everyday I get on the scale I expect it to go up - it doesn't. Wow. 2 c0nnie53 and skikyd reacted to this
