3 Months Post Op!

Recommended Posts

Hey there everyone!!

I am almost 3 months post op. I will be 3 months on the 23rd (sleeved 9/23/13) I have lost a total of 66lbs so far. I was just wondering what are most of you guys eating at this stage.?I know most people are still doing soft foods but I feel like I eat the same thing everyday. I just wanted to switch it up a little. What are/were your favorite food to eat at this stage? Feel free to leave recipes. Thanks all. I hope you all are filled with holiday cheer!!

That's awesome! 66lbs in only 3 months?! Way to go! I'm not at that point yet (my surgery is the 23rd of December) but I've been keeping a binder of recipes for when I get to the solid food phase. I like a lot of the things on ''The World According to Eggface'' website as well as a recipe i found for zucchini fetticine. If u google it, i'm sure it'll come up.

Anyhow, congrats again and keep up the great work. Can't wait to join you on the losers bench :)

Hello Gabbs,

I'm impressed with your weight loss. I was sleeved on 09/18 and have now lost 42 pounds. HOWEVER, I had a stall which lasted for two weeks at three weeks after surgery and I've just come out of a stall that lasted five, yes five, weeks. I count myself lucky as I did not put on any weight during my stalls. I stayed positive.

Eating, well that is still a struggle. chicken, bread, vegetables are all no-nos. Fish, especially salmon, is good along with mashed potato. It is still very much trial and error with me. Homemade Soup is good.

This week, after my five week stall, I've lost six pounds which I'm delighted with. The world according to egg face is a brilliant site and it will give you plenty of ideas. You must have been doing something right to lose your 66 pounds. Keep up the good work!

Hi Gabbs,

I'm 13 weeks out and have lost 49 post op, 92 total. At this point I'm eating lots of chicken, ham, cheeses, yogurt, Atkins bars, hummus with sliced cucumbers and grape tomatoes, fish, Beans and eggs. Just introduced a little fruit - no more than 1 per day. Also introduced Special K Protein Cereal and Kashi Go Lean cereal for high protein breakfasts that are something other than eggs. Still work in Protein Shakes too. Generally 750-800 calories per day with around 60 carbs and 60-80 grams of protein per day. I avoid sugar, Pasta, rice, corn, bread/crackers and potatoes like the plague. I don't tolerate tougher meat such as roast beef well - make me nauseated. Congrats to you!!!

Hey! Thanks for responding. And congrats, 92 lbs is AMAZING!! I try to eat enough chicken but I don't eat as often as I did before surgery. Fish is my go to source. My doctor told me to stay away from Atkins Protein Bars but that was in the beginning. I haven't had any kind of cereal since surgery but I am willing to try it except my stomach screams at the thought of dairy products. My doc says I may have developed an intolerance. I eat cheese because of the protein but I may also pay for it later. (It doesn't always happen which is weird.) I haven't tried beef but I wanted to try it because the high amounts of protein it has. I can tolerate Pasta but no rice and bread is iffy sometimes. I mainly eat tuna fish with crackers. I drink mainly Water and flavored coconut waters (which contain sugar but not enough to make me crave it.) I will double check with my doc about Atkins bars because the thought of a Protein shake me queasy! Hahaha! Thanks again for responding and congrats keep up the amazing work.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
