southernsoul 773 Posted December 15, 2013 A friend of mine posted this on FB & I think it's a really important message. The things we say to ourselves MATTER, in the same way that the words we direct at other people matter. Why are we so often willing to treat ourselves with less kindness and consideration than we would extend to someone else? http://www.upworthy.com/first-these-women-were-offended-then-they-realized-who-was-being-offensive?c=ufb1 2 gamergirl and Georgia reacted to this

gmanbat 5,889 Posted December 15, 2013 Liked it! Men do this crap, too. If I worked for a boss that talked to me like I USED TO talk to me I would walk off the job ....hopefully before I busted his jaw. 1 Georgia reacted to this
Fluffnomore 1,235 Posted December 15, 2013 It's interesting. My husband is the worst "fat talker" out there. He is a performer and feels that everyone judges on appearance. They do, but not solely. We have had this conversation a lot…I know fat shaming exists in the profession, but no one can possibly be worse to him than he is to himself. He is working with the therapist on this too. This is a multi-layered beast... 2 Georgia and gmanbat reacted to this
