Don't know how you did it for 30 days! Hands down you win. My work Christmas party was my last night on real food, so that was pretty easy.

Good luck with surgery.

Good luck, I'm on Friday... looking forward to seeing a post from you when I get home. Tomorrow is crazy busy and I probably won't have a chance to get on here. TTFN

Doing well, can finally take in a little over 2 oz at a time sipping of course, before I stop. Then wait a bit before getting more. I am only up to 30oz but tomorrow is a new day!

I still have pain in my upper chest especially when I use spirometer and sometimes just sitting.

Wishing my ft worth buddies good luck!!!

If you don't want to walk or do your incentive spirometery then you are not taking enough pain meds. Don't be shy on taking them the first few days. Glad you are doing well!

Day 4 post op

Today is better than yesterday! Was able to sleep on my side and slept well. Woke up and was able to get in 4 oz in 30 minutes, took my Vitamins, walked on treadmill for 35 minutes and about to have my injury chicken broth Protein.

Ready to get out of the house today.

Wishing everyone well!

Should we set a date the first part of January to meet? I think we all are fairly close. Maybe Alliance?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
