Wenniegirl 1 Posted December 13, 2013 Hi, these 2 weeks has been very different, and taking some time to getting use to. Learning to eat has never been so difficult and once you intake the small portion you realize oooh my I can't eat anymore. I wasn't sure if I couldn't take no more or I didn't want anymore lol. I'm now on a full liquid diet not bad at all; but I get full extremely fast. If your newly out like myself hows it going for you.
LindafromFlorida 1,542 Posted December 13, 2013 Hello there! My husband is 2 weeks out, doing great. I am 4 weeks out, almost. I could have progressed to eating more (new) foods but have stayed on the same plan with him til he is a month out. I find that we are very satisfied having a shake for Breakfast, Soup or shake for lunch, Soup or shake for dinner, with a little added cottage cheese, yogurts, Jello, popsicles for Snacks. Crystal light tea is our favorite drink. I have nibbled on refried Beans with a little taco sauce added, and had no problem. We know that when we start the little burps, to slow down, stop eating, because it seems to be the signal we are getting full. Honestly do not feel hungry at all. Good luck and Happy Holidays! BTW, I had a special lunch date recently, looked at the menu online, decided I could have a cup of seafood bisque, and it was like an ordinary day having lunch with a friend. So excited about that! Wenniegirl 1 Posted December 13, 2013 Linda thank you for that information. I just realized last night was my first time have unsweetened tea and it went down great. The burbs are truly a sign of putting the fork or spoon down. I too also found today was my first Protein Shake was well tolerated. So that's great to know popsicle have been a goody for me. LindafromFlorida 1,542 Posted December 13, 2013 Crystal light peach tea is our favorite. Even raspberry tea. I also found SF apple cider. Most grocery stores here carry Torani SF syrups which you can add to your vanilla shakes, or anything else. There are so many ideas! I bought the Protein powder (unflavored) and even though I like HOT Soups, etc. I am adding the powder to the Soups to add Protein as they cool. A treat was about 1/4 cup Cream of Wheat - with a little Protein Powder added, and spray margarine, I wish you the best. Linda
