what is the price you pay here in the states for fills ?

That completely depends on how it's done. I have mine in the hospital under fluoroscopy, and the total tab is about $800. Thankfully, it's covered by insurance.

There are a couple of surgical out patient places here that will do it, under fluoro, for $150 self-pay.

Mine is $150 without fluoro. She had to stick me multiple times, but since I've lost 40 pounds, it's easier to feel the port.

My doctor does it in his office he said that there is not much difference if he does under fluro or his office. It is $125 a fill my insurance pays for most of it. I think I pay $25. If he can take the fliud out of the band when he starts than he states he knows he is in the right place. I can feel the Fluid going too.

I beileve my surgeon charges $150 to self-pays. That's without fluoro. With fluoro runs around $800. My insurance (supposedly, we'll say) retains through the life of the band, so I pay $20 copay per fill.

150.00 and I'm selfpay. With fluro it's 200.00 more but he can hit mine first time with out fluro.

With Fluro at the surgery center they are $150 (the first one is free), just at the Dr.'s office w/ no Fluro it is free for the first year.

My fills are done in my drs. office without fluoro, just a long spinal needle. He charges $75, which compared to what everyone else pays, it is pretty cheap!!! I have not had any bad experiences with this dr. yet, hope to keep it that way.:)

Can all who have given prices tell me if you had surgery elsewhere besides the doctor who does you fills and what town you are having them done? Thanks,

Cabux

I had my surgery in Monterrey Mexico and although my fills are free for life there I prefer Dr. Trace Curry. It's a 11 hour round trip for me but worth every minute of it. I've had six fills with him and they are 150.00 each. He's in Cincinatti Ohio.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
