I'm 10months out of the bypass and only 80lbs down my highest was 302 and I am now currently 225 and haven't lost anything in the past two months :( what do I do. I feel like I accomplished nothing and I'm still fat unlike everyone else.....

There are many things you can do. First get in contact with your doc or nut. Second start a food log. With this log add in any feelings or things you notice about why you are eating. Third if you are not working out start, and if you are mix up your workout. Next increase your Protein and amount of calories that you take in each day.

Those are all things that can help break a stall.

Finally take a really deep breath and relax. Stalls are natural and will happen. You must learn patience and persaverence! Also instead of looking at 80 lbs as negative - I've only lost 80lbs - turn it around. You have lost 80 lbs and that is something to celebrate!!! Enjoy your victories! Congrats on your weight loss!

Regardless of what your weight is doing - follow your plan. Stay positive, stay patient, stay focused on following the protocol as closely to the letter as you possibly can, and maintain a food log. There is no schedule for stalls and no way to accurately predict how long they will last. On the other hand, one thing is certain - as long as you are consuming fewer calories than your body is burning, sooner or later you will start losing again. There is no doubt. Science and the laws of the universe cannot be denied.

You're among friends here. There isn't a single one of us that can't understand your frustration. Just focus that energy on following your plan and you're gonna love the new you!!

This happened to me around the same timing. It just stopped coming off. The weight that is. Came to find out that I was not absorbing enough Protein. I had to spread it out further throughout the day. Once I did that the weight dropped quickly. Hope this helps with the other suggestions already made. I was getting my protein goal in, body just was bit absorbing it so I was wasting protein. Body can only handle so much at once and gets rid of the rest as waste.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
