acspringhill 4 Posted December 12, 2013 I'm three weeks post op, and the only nagging pain that comes and goes is about six inches from the stomach removal incision. It's similar to the kind of pain you get in your side when you've been running and is called stitch in your side? I feel it at random times near my right rib cage during the day, and when I'm sleeping in bed if I turn to my right side. Is this common to still get this pain, and does it eventually go away? Bending over or twisting to the side can aggravate the area too. Thanks!
Sassy Pants1 186 Posted December 13, 2013 I am in my 9th week and I do get a stitch in my side, but it's the left side. Feels like it's up high in my ribs. It comes and goes. More annoying than painful or problematic.

And that "stitch" is back. I think it is gas, so I am taking GasX. You can use GasX strips if you are newly sleeved.
#hashTag# 1 Posted December 13, 2013 Hi, I had the same exact pain on the right side, it was so excruciating that I went to ED right away. I was 2 weeks out approx at the time, after an X-Ray & CT scan it was found that I had Fluid around the right lung, with an infection in the lower half + pleural effusion ... Unfortunately for me no analgesia worked to ease the pain, I just dealt with it and finally 3 days later it settled from a stabbing pain to aching .. Call your dr and maybe go to ED if it continues!
