mistysj 1,940 Posted December 12, 2013 I look at myself and don't feel like I have a ton of loose skin yet. There still seems to be a lot of fat there especially in the hanging belly area. I try not to be too critical, after all I have lost heaps of weight and gone from a size 20w to a 14 so far. Also I don't take baths too often. Our tub is not really that comfortable because where you would lie back is not sloped but squared off. It is a built in tiled tub and we don't currently have plans to change it. But it means baths are not as appealing as they might otherwise be. It has been several months since I've taken a bath, though I'm sure I have had one since surgery. Well I'm on a business trip and it turns out I am in what is probably considered a 5 star hotel, in Bangalore India. There is a huuuuuge tub, and I decided to treat myself to a soak (and a glass of wine). I filled the tub, stepped in (it is deep), sat down. And my loose floppy belly FLOATED! OMG. Like a beach ball. Seriously it kind of gathered itself up and floated. The skin around my hips was pulled tight and flat and I could see what a difference it would make to get a Tummy Tuck. Just wow. I could also feel how "loose" it really is. That is where I am carrying all my weight now. If it were not for that pannus I think I would be in a size 10 rather than a 14. Just experiencing that floating belly in the tub made me understand why people don't see where I could lose 15 more kg. it's because jeans really hide that. It was kind of gross and weird but also fascinating. 1 BlessedBeyondMeasure2012 reacted to this
southernsoul 773 Posted December 12, 2013 Haha, I never thought of that happening, but it makes sense when you think about it. Well, it sounds like it's given you a different perspective on the idea of a Tummy Tuck. I hope you enjoyed your bath anyway!

VSGAnn2014 12,992 Posted December 12, 2013 I know a guy who just had a Tummy Tuck -- the surgeon removed 15+ pounds of skin and some lipo'ed fat. A woman I know had a tummy tuck recently (mostly pannus) -- the surgeon removed 7 pounds. That stuff floating in your tub is real. It ain't air. And enjoy your time in India. Such a fascinating country! 1 mistysj reacted to this
No game 14,437 Posted December 12, 2013 OMG floating? I'm scared... If I take a bath it's bubble baths at night with candles so I've not been scared yet.... But, never, NEVER bend over naked in front of a mirror so you see a side view, while putting on lotion, trust me I've scared the crap out of myself doing that! 5 JessicaAnn, dreamscometrue, Teachamy and 2 others reacted to this
