Pepper1382 35 Posted December 12, 2013 Just curious if anyone used an abdominal binder post op and if they recommend it. I had 2 C-Sections and I LOVED my binder and I lived in it for like 2 weeks.
DeniseM 238 Posted December 12, 2013 Mine was a life-saver for me! It really helped with my pain, especially in my large incision.
Roo101769 742 Posted December 12, 2013 I wore mine the first three days all the time. Then around the fourth day I stopped wearing it in the daytime, but still to sleep in. I felt it "held" me better as I would roll in my sleep. I wore it about a week and a half that way. Definitely something you want to use..
notmeanymore 629 Posted December 12, 2013 I didnt wear one for my sleeve but after having my ventral hernia repaired and having to wear one, I WISH I had thought about it for my sleeve surgery. Go for it!

Teachamy 1,042 Posted December 12, 2013 No one mentioned this to me in any pre-op appt. Thanks for mentioning. I will ask after surgery. (In 6 days!)
soocalchic 1,087 Posted December 12, 2013 I didn't wear a binder. I did however wear a cami with a spandex belly panel and that was just what I needed. Made the pain tolerable
VSG AJH 499 Posted December 13, 2013 (edited) YES! They put it on me in the OR recovery bay, and it was instant comfort. I'm 9 days post-op, and I still prefer to sleep in it. It kind of holds all my parts where they belong so that I can sleep in my side without any tugging on that largest incision. Highly recommend!
