I'm 4.5 weeks out and am just able to take long deep drinks of pretty much any liquid (water can still sometimes be a challenge). Had some chocolate milk yesterday and was surprised how many mouthfuls I could drink before I stopped due to not being thirsty anymore haha. I would say even this early out I'm able to drink the same way I would before surgery (though I don't think it's chugging, just able to drink a steady amount without stopping).
