red light for you. get your saucer plate out and fill it with Protein and eat slowly and know that you had enough. you know you can live on that amount of food. get some good Protein Bars if you need to snack. grab a banana or tangerine. but you know now you don't have to feel full to have enough. you have it really tough right now but i know you can do this by eating just the amount you are allowed when the band is full. hopefully they will be able to fill it back up soon and you don't want to have to retrain your brain all over again now do you? i'm not real good at pep talk hope i was of some help. also walk when those i am hungry like a bear feelings. it's hard to eat and walk at the same time.

Terry is very gentle, heed her words. The reason that gastric bypass people gain the weight back is that they don't learn their lessons. This is called the honeymoon phase. I think you should go and re read your lesson.

The lapband is only a tool. I bet your grandparents used a dime when they didn't have their screwdriver. That was a tool also. Drink your Water like you used to. Hugs

Luvs2sing, I have been there, and the time between empty band and a new start can be tough, but as Terry said you need to adjust your thinking. Using a small plate helps a lot! I have not used a full size plate(except maybe eating out) since my 1st visit to a nutritionist! You just get used to eating smaller meals when using a small plate. Best wishes to you!!kll724

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
