Mplsgal218 2 Posted December 11, 2013 I can't believe it's finally here. I feel pretty calm about all of it but very nervous about what the pain will be like. I have read the site for a few weeks and most of the time I am inspired. But every once in a while when I see a post about people feeling hungry or they don't feel like it's working for them, I get scared that I'm going to be the person it doesn't work for and I am eternally the fat girl. I know I need to think positive and believe if I follow the rules it will work but it's all so scary. Eek!
Mustang2013 21 Posted December 11, 2013 My surgery is coming fast December 18 and I am excited. Just take one day at a time. You will do great. I have read so much about the procedure and watched so many you tube videos that I can't wait until it is finally here and I am recuperating. Tired of thinking about it 24-7. Let the adventure begin. 1 LindafromFlorida reacted to this
LindafromFlorida 1,542 Posted December 11, 2013 I was sleeved Nov 18, my husband Dec. 2. I was in hospital 1 night, came home, no pain whatsoever, a little soreness. Thrilled. I went shopping 2 hours by the end of the week. Not hungry. Just follow the plan, it is designed to give you what you need. I am 22 days out, today I had two 4 oz shakes, popsicle, 1/2 can cream mushroom Soup, and will have yogurt soon. You might have head hunger but keep the Snacks out of the house so you wont be tempted. We have avoided functions for 2 months - and now plan to attend 2 parties, and I am instructing my husband what to do LOL. You will be so happy, and surprised how this is not bad at all! Prayers. Dont read the negative posts please, about stalling and everything else. Ignore the scale. Or someone 2 weeks post op asking can I have chicken and rice. We have to be smart about this and you will be!!!! Good luck! 1 dreamscometrue reacted to this
Mustang2013 21 Posted December 11, 2013 Thank you so much for the information. I am not going to weigh myself all the time. I will be happy in the fact that I am getting healthy. It is great that you and your husband are doing it together. Congratulations on your success so far.
