knt4ever 137 Posted December 6, 2013 I have searched all over forum so I apologize if this has been asked already but should I have my Wife stay overnight with me at Hospital after surgery? We have twin 8 year old girls that she could stay home with. Will I need her help because I will be awake during night? 1 dreamscometrue reacted to this
music1618 879 Posted December 6, 2013 My hubby did not stay with me. They will be getting you up to walk and then give you pain meds to help control your pain. So my personal opinion is plan on your wife staying home with the kiddos. 2 knt4ever and Alex Brecher reacted to this
BBdoodle 483 Posted December 6, 2013 Any help you need the nurses are there for you. The first night you will be in and out of it, have your wife stay home with the kids. 2 Alex Brecher and knt4ever reacted to this
Ms skinniness 3,003 Posted December 6, 2013 When I had my surgery in the hospital, my husband took me to the hospital and left after the surgery. I didn't see him until I was released 2 days later. I didn't need him, I took my IV morphine and I was sleeping anyways. It was really no big deal.. You might sleep through the night too. I did..... best wishes for your upcoming surgery.... Dorian 683 Posted December 7, 2013 My hubby stayed the entire time I was there. I loved having him there to help and he was absolutely wonderful!
Michael Day 3 Posted December 7, 2013 Your wife should stay at home, as the hospital staff will tend to your needs after surgery. As stated in the above posts you will be out of it for the first night.
