Sex Sent Me To The ER

Recommended Posts

Thank you. Though I don't like the comment of being a candidate for WLS. It is much more than the physical that is necessary to be a candidate. They have to have the WANT to lose weight. The surgery doesn't make you lose weight..it is a tool that you use to help Yourself. Sorry but I feel Terry was wrong there

Very good point. Plus the weight really has nothing to do with it. Anyone could have plowed their girlfriends head through a wall at any weight. These things happen! LOL

Where does a girl sign up?

So heads banging into walls, headboards, rear windows of cars, or doors at your local department store dressing room is not normal?

:o

So here is an update.

A) Jen and I are not together Anymore. She has a new boyfriend but we are still good friends

B) I am single...Semi by choice but open to meeting new people

C) It was one of the scariest/funniest moments and I really can't wait to see how they put this together

Haha, Thanks bubbles but i'm not spanking anyone. Just letting people know more information than what was given. We all here in the same boat...some of us just have some more laughs than others

Greg,

Your pictures and success are an inspiration. I just learned that I have spoken to you on the phone a couple of times and used to work with your father. I am 11 days post op.

You really cannot make this up!

I'm curious how they play it out too Gregg, were you and Jen part of the interviewing?

I am only asking because I have a high school friend who's story was aired on a show called "family secrets". As well, my ex MIL was on deadliest women, she was a girlfriend to a man who's high school aged daughter poisoned him here in north texas 20+ years ago.

Both were involved in the taping and said several things they thought would be included were not actual on the show once it aired.....

Will be curious to see

Thank you guys for the support. I Have been going around on radio shows and talking about the show. One of the big things I have recently pushed off of is to talk about post weight loss Psychological aspects. If you guys want, I can post more updates of where I will be and what I'll be talking about. The story was fun and light hearted but it really was a way for me to show that weight loss can be possible and their are many things that can be achieved.

But on top of this, there are many things that TV shows don't show or express.

As far as the show. We were part of the interviewing and most of the stuff we said was put on the show. A few things left out but nothing detrimental to the actual story. It was fun to do and the comments tend to range from horrendously negative to the upmost positive. You guys, of course...are positive :-P

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
