Wow! Congrats to you! I had surgery Oct. 24th, 2013 and I am 5'1" and was 248 now 222. I am using you as my guideline as to how much I can lose! I am 62 years old and I never can imagine weighing 130, which is my goal as well! Haven't seen that since senior year in high school.

I am doing the party dance with you! Fantastic achievement and it's great to hear how happy you are with your new life. And it's good to see you getting on with life two years out - and being happy.

How are you get to Celebrate the two year surgiversary???

i have never felt better in my whole life :)

wow - you are lookin' great too!!!!

1 lb from goal - who is counting - you look terrific!!!

we're dancing away, happy dance - look at us go!!!!

i danced a couple of months ago at my grand-daughters bat mitzvah

before that - i wouldn't/couldn't have danced if you gave me a million bucks!!! (well....maybe  )

DH and i are in the home stretch of finishing building our new dream ranch house

so - my celebration/reward is running around, doing this and that, buying as much as possible for the house

its a dirty job, but........ ;)

big worthwhile celebration for this happy sleeve survivor

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
