_imgood_ 63 Posted December 5, 2013 (edited) My doctor did not call in the Emendation I needed to take tonight. Did anyone else take this med prior to surgery. My surgery is in the AM. We only get 1 and we're supposed to take it the minute we walk in the hospital door. They said it works wonders. It's expensive and they told us insurance won't cover it. I have a terrible time with nausea after surgery, even with the patch behind the ear so I am very willing to pay $90 for this wonder drug. The anesthesiologist's NP was saying something about the patch being for motion sickness and did I have that and I said yes! She didn't want me to have the patch and the Emend but finally consented. Seela 1,187 Posted December 5, 2013 Look for rx discount code for the amend... I can't remember but I found one that lowered my cost significantly. What I didn't know is that if you ask for it upon arrival at the hospital they will give it to you and the costs are absorbed with your surgery costs.
