Elayne 0 Posted August 9, 2008 Hi Suezip - Moving along slowly but surely. PP says OK (I was afraid he wouldn't) I have to go for a 2nd sleep study (apparently my Obstructive SA needs a session with the "CRAP" mask. Can't wait for the consultation appt. Sept 4 (now less than a month away) I can't believe I've been at this nearly 2 months already! Why do you have 5 more months? Is it an insurance requirement? Do you have a date yet? michellelei 0 Posted December 1, 2008 From Windsor PA (York County) here. I am surprised by how few people are from PA. I have tons of weight to lose and was looking for some local peeps to share the journey with.
Camping7768 0 Posted December 27, 2008 Hi, I'm from Bethlehem, PA and had my surgery done by Dr. Garcia on Oct. 7th. Would love to meet up with others in the Lehigh Valley who have had LB surgery.
ssrunningfree 0 Posted December 31, 2008 I am attending a seminar hosted by the Reading Hospital next week (it is actually taking place at the Eden Resort in Lancaster). I am from Myerstown, Pa just east of Lebanon. I was thinking about also attending a seminar from the hershey med-center. Is shopping around a good thing, or will I go into information overload? I'm from Myerstown too! :wink2: My dad's been thinking about the LAPBAND procedure for a while now...his doctor thinks it would be a good decision for him too. He is planning to check out a seminar at Reading Hospital and I was just wondering if you got a lot out what they told you. Thanks
BooCakes 0 Posted April 18, 2009 I'm not banded yet, but ending up going with Reading Weight Management Center. I am having Dr. Ku perform the lap-band surgery and he has been really great so far, along with his office. Their office is very organized and does all the paperwork. So far, so good. I have just begun my 3 month program. JJ
pennreporter 12 Posted May 9, 2009 I'm from Tobyhanna, PA (Poconos). Surgery is June 1 at Geisinger in Danville. Their protocol is the six-month plan, but that's just to get you to the approval stage. At six-month appt. they send all to insurance co and surgeon. So it's actually more like 7-8 month program. If I were rich..lol...I would have headed on down to Houston to my daughter's surgeon and had it done months ago. But since I'm not....lol Good luck.
