melanndoll 92 Posted December 2, 2013 I'm here for my fill and there are 10 other people here! Usually there is one. I hope this doesn't take forever as I'm already nervous!

melanndoll 92 Posted December 2, 2013 Ok, he had a little trouble getting the needle into the port but he only had to poke once. You were right, it really wasn't bad at all! I now have 3.5 ml in my 14 ml band. I go back in two weeks and then two weeks again. He just said to eat softer foods for a couple of days. I did feel hot and nauseous afterwards but I also hadn't eaten since Breakfast. Ate a lean cuisine pizza and feel better now
smpin1176 84 Posted December 2, 2013 Ok I have a question. Are you not suppose to eat the day of your fill? My doctors office didn't give me any special instructions and I have my first fill tomorrow. I spoke to a lady in the front office and she told me that she has never heard of anyone being asked to fast before a fill. Ummm.......not sure what to do? My fill appt is @ 11:15......so should breakfast be ok?

Sherlock1969 231 Posted December 4, 2013 Every doctor seems to be different....I have not been told not to eat before a fill. But after I have to be on liquid for 2 days, then soft foods for a day and then regular food.
bamagurl 98 Posted December 6, 2013 It seems every doctors prefill requirements are different. My office asks you to eat before you come for your fill, then liquids only for the rest of the day, and back to chunky foods the next day. My advice would be just to call your office and check before your appointment. That way there is no guessing. Best of luck!
Lady VS 1,147 Posted December 6, 2013 Yes, doctor's instructions are different. I am almost three yrs. po-stop and I had to always fast before a fill and do liquids after.
