knt4ever 137 Posted December 2, 2013 Just received the almighty APPROVAL letter from Insurance today!!!! I read it ten times lol. Hoping to have surgery done before end of year because insurance deductible is going up 2.5 times MORE in 2014! Plus I have paid all of the out-of-pocket for this year. QUESTION: How long does it take to accomplish the Pre-Surgery Tests that includes blood tests, upper GI, and gallbladder ultrasound? 1 chrystine reacted to this
NewMandyMack26 4 Posted December 2, 2013 Hi! Congratulations! I received my approval letter mid September. My doctor's office called to schedule surgery a few days later, November 12th. They scheduled my pre-op visit with the doctor for October 24th. My pre-op testing was scheduled a week before surgery. Good luck!!

QUESTION: How long does it take to accomplish the Pre-Surgery Tests that includes blood tests, upper GI, and gallbladder ultrasound? First off CONGRATS to you! You will notice if you read thru the boards everyone has different programs and schedules, timelines....I had to do a 6 months program, did all my testing and had surgery date before they would even submit my insurance. So hard to say, all those things can be done in a day but getting appts could be a different story. However most approval letters have a deadline so they try to get things moving.....your on your way, Good luck!
