Butterthebean 8,146 Posted December 31, 2013 Before we start January, I have a question, however. As you know, I aspire to be a runner. So would "STICK TO C25K LIKE GLUE" be in the right vein? It's measurable by the phone app, sooooooo.....maybe? LOL....I think thats a fine goal. Also....there's a C25K thread. If you can read it from start to finish before the end of January you get a free santa running beard.....almost new. http://www.bariatricpal.com/topic/239489-started-couch-to-5k-today-anyone-keen/ 1 TexasFire reacted to this

Globetrotter 1,340 Posted December 31, 2013 Day #20 Insanity, and final day of December Challenge: I went back to the first page of this thread to see what my goals were; I succeeded beyond the goal on Insanity participation, I aimed for 15 and did 20, but sadly the weight loss goal was missed entirely, even though my eating has been near flawless and very low carb and low cal. My strength is definitely up, as is my ability and my recovery time. The Insanity program is 60 days, so this will continue for the January Challenge too. Since my body refuses to lose weight (wtf), my new challenge will be to concentrate on form and doing the full exercises instead of modifying, even if I can only do 2 reps, and to do at least 20 classes. Also to do weights every day that I do Insanity. 2 Fiddleman and gamergirl reacted to this
Fiddleman 4,376 Posted December 31, 2013 (edited) Globe - thanks for sharing. I am glad the Insanity program is working out so well for you. Edited December 31, 2013 by Fiddleman
TJL 222 Posted December 31, 2013 Well, here I am to finish out the end of the month, got in a another 7 miles, and another strength session, but I have now come down with bronchitis, so won't be able to add anymore to my total today( I'm off work and feel like c***p, can't even talk or I start to cough, hope the antibiotic kicks in soon.) So. MTD-107 miles, 10 yoga classes, 10 strength sessions, I kind of fell off doing the plank thing, got up to 25 seconds, maybe will try it again next month, I will be in for January, can't wait to add in my eliptical and bike. Even if I lose weight slowly, I will be a fit slow loser. Ha! fat, take that! 1 gamergirl reacted to this
HealthyNewMe 1,935 Posted December 31, 2013 Finished the year off with my all time personnel best on a 10K elliptical today.... 56:57. Yeah me.... Now if I could only transfer this to running! 2 gamergirl and Butterthebean reacted to this
HumorMe00 127 Posted January 1, 2014 Hit my goal for the month- 12 hrs of exercise. Started out really strong, but a strained back has forced me to take it easy for the last couple of weeks. Just happy I made it to my goal and made some decent strength and endurance gains. 2 gamergirl and Butterthebean reacted to this
AuntieAmbee 9 Posted January 1, 2014 I'm starting this planking challange with my girl friends from work. I tried one a few months back and ended up giving up less than half way through the month. My goal is to not give up, even if its less time than the challange calls for I don't want to give up. 2 gamergirl and Butterthebean reacted to this
Butterthebean 8,146 Posted January 1, 2014 Hey everyone. Great job this month. It's been tough I know, but I'm proud of all of you who are still working it. I surpassed my swimming goal....I got 10,300 meters. But fell 15 miles short of my running miles with only 105. I've started the January challenge. Here it is.... http://www.bariatricpal.com/topic/292789-january-fitness-challenge/?p=3302431 2 gamergirl and McButterpants reacted to this

TerryBelieves 352 Posted January 1, 2014 I finished the month at 78.65 miles, a little short of my 100 mile goal. So I am going forward in the January Challenge and have already signed up for 100 miles and the 30 day plank challenge! 1 gamergirl reacted to this
Chelenka 827 Posted January 1, 2014 I've been totally side-lined for the past two weeks with a crappy cold which is still hanging on and seems to have morphed into another cold just when I thought I was getting over it. So I've been reading everyones accomplishments and I send you all my best wishes for continued health and fitness in 2014! Y'all are an inspiring bunch! 2 TerryBelieves and lsu2868 reacted to this
