Want To Be A Bariatricpal Forum Host?

Recommended Posts

Are you a BariatricPal junkie? Do you visit every day to read the forums, join the conversations, and see how your BariatricPal friends are doing? Are you always among the first members to greet newbies and show them the ropes, to answer member questions, and to politely provide accurate information when you see that someone has made a mistake?

If so, you might be one of the BariatricPal Forum Hosts that we are looking for to maintain the board’s high standards! Our site includes many forums and sub-forums, and Forum Hosts help us keep the site running smoothly for our members! Forum Hosts also help keep the conversations as courteous, welcoming, and informative as they always have been.

  • Editing post titles and posts for Text-speak, misspellings, and poor formatting
  • Moving posts to appropriate forums
  • Welcoming new members
  • Responding to unanswered posts
  • Congratulating members on upcoming or recent surgeries or surgeraviseries
  • Reporting inappropriate posts
  • Contacting BariatricPal staff to resolve technical problems
  • Sharing your weight loss surgery experience and knowledge when you feel it would be helpful

Please let us know if you would like to be considered to be a Forum Host! Let us know which forum(s) or sub-forum(s) you are most interested in hosting.

We consider all of these factors.

  • Length of membership with BariatricPal (or on any of any of our previous forums if you are a long-time member who has been with us since the days of LapBandTalk, VerticalSleeveTalk, RNYTalk, or SleevePlicationTalk).
  • Number of posts on BariatricPal (or on any of any of our previous forums if you are a long-time member who has been with us since the days of LapBandTalk, VerticalSleeveTalk, RNYTalk, or SleevePlicationTalk).
  • Demonstrated dedication to providing information and encouragement to other BariatricPal members.
  • No complaints from other members about inappropriate posts or other activity on BariatricPal.

Contact me via email at alex@BariatricPal.com or through private messaging (PM). We look forward to hearing from you!
