jayakay425 6 Posted November 29, 2013 In 2005 I got the birth control shot and picked up 100 lbs in 1 year. Plus since my appetite increased I of course ate more! Now I just can't get rid of the weight. I am married and have a 2 yr old son. My parents have high blood pressure. My mom and grandmother both had strokes. So getting this weight off and wanting to eat better is a priority for me. I am so scared I will have one. I started this process in June 2013 and now waiting for Aetna to approve me! moddd 79 Posted November 29, 2013 Welcome!!! good luck on your journey!! I just got home from the hospital today. I had the sleeve done yesterday! The hardest part is seeing everyone's food posts being thanksgiving. I'd give anything for some stuffing right now lol! moddd 79 Posted November 30, 2013 Thanks! No I didn't need a drain thank goodness! That's the first thing I asked when I came to after surgery. Lol! But so far my recovery has been pretty slow going.
