Miss Mac 6,262 Posted November 28, 2013 Miss Mac here.....Yesterday, I finally got my insurance approval after four months of program compliance. Now I understand what others were talking about concerning a combination of relief and sheer panic. My sleeve date is December 23, going home on Christmas day.......so shopping is done and gifts are distributed. Everybody is doing their celebrating at someone else's house this year. That way, I can come home with my sweetie and relax and heal. Thankfully, I did well enough with the pre-op weight loss - 25 pounds - that I only have to do the liver shrinking liquid diet for one week. My supplies are in and this is getting real. See you all on the other side of the losers' bench after the holidays. 4 Jerzygurl, rebecca_dsu, LipstickLady and 1 other reacted to this

macman 603 Posted November 28, 2013 I am also having surgery on December 23rd and planned a quiet Christmas. It does seem weird that no one will be at our house. the family usually comes to us, on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We always try to make the Holidays special. But this year, there won"t be decorations, or favorite meals or any visitors. My two sons, with wife and girlfriend are going elsewhere. Since I should be released from the hospital on Christmas Eve, it has to be that way. But we have all committed to making next tear special again!

Also I have to ask..I'm not judging or anything, but is it either ex-wife and girlfriend, or the wife's girlfriend, or some other combination? Just trying to get a feel for you and your family, no judgement 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this
macman 603 Posted November 28, 2013 LOL!! Sorry for the confusion. I have two adult sons, 31 & 29. The oldest has a serious girlfriend, the youngest is married. My wife, is a saint. we have been married 34 years! No grandchildren yet, just a grand puppy! 2 gamergirl and ProudGrammy reacted to this
