crysclev 36 Posted October 24, 2014 I was 262 at my hw but 246 before surgery...surgery date was February 27, 2014 so I've lost 58 lbs since surgery and 74 from my heaviest...not as much as others have lost but I'm really proud of the way mine is coming off. Working out has helped me tighten up a lot of loose skin. And the inches I have lost are much more impressive than the lbs! I wear a smaller size now than when I was 10-15 lbs lighter many years ago! melessig 8 Posted October 27, 2014 Is anyone else still losing hair? Any suggestions? It just keeps falling out. Luckily I ha extremely thick hair before surgery. But I'm nervous if it doesn't stop soon. I'm getting 50-60 grams of Protein a day, but not much in dairy.
crysclev 36 Posted October 27, 2014 Mine only fell for about 6 weeks...I take a double dose of Biotin via dissolving tablets everyday. I have little baby hairs growing in now daily. ... it's coming back!
onlybroomegirl 250 Posted October 28, 2014 My hair has basically stopped falling out. It really seemed back to normal at about 7 months post op. It hasn't started thickening back up yet though.
CrazyJaney 775 Posted October 28, 2014 I had major Hair loss in month 3,4,5 but has stopped (thankfully). Lots of new regrowth. I was worried it would never stop. I took Bioten starting 2 month pre op and continue today.
moite1 14 Posted October 29, 2014 I lost hair and month 3, 4 and five. The Hair loss has stopped, and I've had some regrowth at month seven
SuperFab 689 Posted November 10, 2014 I am still losing hair at 9 months out but nothing "alarming". I had extremely thick hair so now it sort of feels like when I'd go and get it thinned out a lot. The thing that worries me is that I just had to have a hysterectomy and my GYN said that Hair loss can be a major side effect. So, I am hoping it doesn't increase a significant amount. 2 surgeries in 9 months may just make my hair loss worse. My Dr. said the stress of being put under anesthesia coupled with the hormonal changes is a major factor in hair loss. Now I can times that by two
Jencovi 261 Posted December 1, 2014 Anyone stuck? I lost steadily until the last two months. I'm stuck 8lbs from the goal my surgeon set. I am actually two pounds below my personal goal. I set a goal 10lbs higher than my surgeon's because I never thought I could weigh less than 180lbs. Guess I should complain but it kills me that I'm hovering at 158. Even with thanksgiving being the past week I expected a gain. Nope. 158. Always. Lol.
onlybroomegirl 250 Posted December 2, 2014 I'm stuck too. Between 167- 170. 170 was my original goal. I think I would like to get to 160, just to have some wiggle room. 9 month appointment Thursday. We will see, but my dr told me at my 6 month I was already a success. I'm happy with my results. I am healthy & that was my main goal!!
CrazyJaney 775 Posted December 3, 2014 I wish I was as close as y'all! I'm actually a March sleever and started at 325 so I had a lot to accomplish. I'm down 114 pounds bouncing between 211-212. I was stalled for 6 weeks during sep/oct but then dropped 9 in a few weeks in Nov doing absolutely the same things I'd done during tge stall. Crazy how that works. My original goal was 165. My face is looking so gaunt and the skin is bad, especially my neck. I have a freaking GOOZZEL! Maybe 165 is too low? I adjusted my official goal to 180 but I guess I'll see how it plays out over next 6-8 months. Still working the program. Just shocking how much skin and how gaunt my face looks. I Feel great though and that's more important. Not sure what the end point is.

onlybroomegirl 250 Posted December 6, 2014 Crazyjaney sounds like you are doing great! Sometimes my skin looks awful & other times no SO bad. I'm hoping it tones up some. I really don't want to look old or sick so I'm comfortable with a higher weight. I'm also a large frame. I wear an 11 or 12 in a shoe! I am so much healthier than I was. That was my main goal too. Jencovi 261 Posted December 7, 2014 SF, I don't know how I missed this post! I am so sorry to hear you had to have another surgery. How is your recovery going?
