Great pics ladies. Keep going. Anyone starting to experience Hair loss?

Yes!!! Exactly 3 months out the hair starting falling out in clumps. My brother almost died in August and it was a traumatic experience- in November an December my hair was talking out like crazy...it JUST started growing back, and now it's all falling out again. Sigh. At least I know it will come back.

I'm shedding a tiny bit a couple weeks ago? But nothing significant. Thankfully.

Yes, my hair has started falling out. I read it would happen but now that it is I'm freaking out just a little. I have thick hair and am starting to feel and see the difference. :(

I might be shedding. I don't really know because I always shed. I am not noticing anything significant at 3 1/2 months out.

UGH - my hair is falling out as well. My scalp got sunburnt this weekend! I haven't taken a lot of pictures since my surgery, but my sister snapped a picture of my niece and I the other day and posted on Facebook. My mom saw the picture and commented that she didn't think it was the most flattering since my hair wasn't done like it normally is. I explained that my hair was done, but it's normal anymore. I have lost so much that it's very thin and flat compared to what it used to be.

I am down 48 pounds since the day of surgery, and 63 pounds since my surgical consult. I'm feeling very discouraged lately. I think that I'm just dealing with some body image issues. I am having a hard time with my excess skin, and the fact that I'm loosing in my boobs, butt and gut but I don't notice it other places. I keep getting astonished looks and comments from people I haven't seen in a while, so I guess it's noticable. I just need to get my brain to catch up with my body.

I thought I wasn't losing a lot if hair either until today. Today I lost a huge clump in the shower. I'm starting to get nervous about it. My surgeon's office said the only way to combat it is to try to reach your Protein goals and take your Vitamins. I've also started using two different shampoos. One is by L'Oreal. It's called Everstrong. It's a low sulfate thickening Shampoo. And the other one is a Biotin & collagen shampoo. I can't think of the name of it, but it's a purple and gold bottle. You can get them both at Walgreens, Walmart or Target.

And Niko, I can see a huge difference in your pictures! You look great!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
