Any February 2014 Sleevers?

Recommended Posts

Was sleeved 2/28. Starting weight was 240lb. Current weight 187. My life has changed so much! This hasn't been easy and I'm still getting used to my sleeve, but I feel so much stronger and healthier. I look years younger and feel so much more comfortable in my skin. The best decision I've ever made. Here is my progress so far

You look amazing! What are you eating? It's working. I started at 246 and am only down to 207. I feel great and think in doing well with the right foods. It's just sooo slow!

So I took my 12 week pictures tonight. I see lots of difference between the night before and now... but not a lot in the last 4 weeks.

SJ Great job!

Well all I don't get on here as much. I think because I've been putting other things first being sleeved isn't at the forefront of my mind. It needs to be. I have to say I appreciate everyone's honesty. Didn't really want to share how much I'm struggling because I felt alone. Not in a mean way but it's nice to hear others are in the same boat. Connecting with all of you needs to be a priority. It really helps keep me focused.

I struggle. Making the right choices is hard, but I do it for the most part. Every now and then I will slip up, but then I get frustrated that my weight is stuck so I get right back on track. Hang in there. You got this

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I tried really hard to keep myself busy today. Did some house cleaning. It's worked to keep my from munching.

I think I've hit a a stall...just about 3 months out. Exercising, eating my Protein and getting most of my Water. Anyone else experience this? I've been going up and down the same 1lb for about 2 weeks now.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
