Any February 2014 Sleevers?

Recommended Posts

I think your body just adjusts to the new amount and then with the addition of purees it adjusts again. It eventually says "hey lets drop a few pounds"!

Ok since no one responded I'll let u all know. I've tried Shamrock Farms Protein Shake and it is great. Best I've tasted. If your having problems with the taste of Protein Shakes I highly recommend this. 190 calories and 30 grams of Protein. AMAZING!!!!

Sounds good. Where did you find it?

Haha. Thanks! I didn't respond because I didn't know what it was. So I obviously haven't tried it.

Can you get Water through? Maybe that would push it through? And is it actually a pill or just feel that way?

I'm not sure if it is really stuck but it feels that way. I drank a a small amount of milk & it has seemed to help a little but I can still feel it a little.

If it is a pill it will dissolve and feel better.

I use the eat slower app, and set it anywhere from a minute to 2 minutes depending on what I'm eating. If it's relatively soft and I don't have to chew it too much, I do a minute. If i have to chew it a lot, I start with a minute and a half and see how it feels, and sometimes I end up putting it to minute 45 or 2 minutes. Pretty much I just see how the first couple bites go, and adjust accordingly.

I love the eat slower app.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
