Congrats on the weightloss!!! You're doing great! I don't know if you like chocolate but there are "no sugar added" fudgesicles. Also you can take pepperonis and microwave them til they're crispy and they're like chips. SJ had me try that minute maid 15 calorie lemonade and it tastes like a treat.

Ok seriously that turkey pepperoni saved my life! I had some left over from when I made a cauliflower crust pizza so I thought I would put it in the microwave like you mentioned! Soooo good! I have been missing a salty crunch! And the best thing with this is it has Protein in it! Great idea SJ!

I am 7 weeks out. I've only lost 19 lbs. it gets very discouraging. I started going to the gym but it caused lots of pain for a week I'm ready to try it again. I walk but need to step that up too. I follow my food plan pretty closely and sometimes wonder if I'm getting enough calories.

I see the doc next week and want to figure out why my loss is so slow.

Hey all!! Hope you're all doing fabulous!!! Sorry I've been kind of offline for a bit. Got busy with work and stuff. I'll try to be better at keeping in contact. Things are going well for me. I'm pretty much on a low-carb diet plan. Just last week, I got to add veggies to my diet, so I'm stoked about that. meat, cheese, and eggs gets a little monotonous. Here are my stats: Starting weight - 294 Day of surgery (2/17/14) - 277 Current weight - 240 I'm down to an 18 in pants from a tight 24 and XL shirts from a 3X. And I've gone down to a D from a DDD. I was hoping I wouldn't lose my boobs so fast, but I guess I'll take a loss where I can! Lol

Surgery 2/19/14

SW: 314

CW: 263

I'm 34, 5'2 and 7 weeks out. Went from a size 28 pant to a 20, and a 40 DD bra to a 38 D. While I'm happy to lose some boobs, I don't want to lose em all. Haha

Are you tracking your intake on MFP? If I eat too few calories I will not lose. If I eat below 600 the scale will not move. I am supposed to hit between 800-900 a day.

I agree with Fab's advice. You need to track and see how much you're getting in. I get around 900-1000 cals a day which my NUT and surgeon are fine with and I am losing steadily. The number may be different for you but you have to experiment to figure it out. Also you need to be getting your Water and Vitamins in as well. It's a crazy balancing act but you can do this!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
